Hugo Muller, a PhD student at the MSLab under the supervision of Prof. Gauthier Eppe has been awarded by a FRIA 2021 grant (F.R.S.-FNRS). The thesis research aims to develop new analytical strategies for the monitoring of emerging halogenated persistent organic pollutants (POPs) using a non-targeted approach. In this project, we propose to focus our efforts primarily on ion mobility rather than the mass ion selection approach by developing a method for the analysis POPs by GC-APCI-trapped ion mobility (TIMS)-MS.
