FNRS Research Fellow - Pauline Bianchi

Pauline Bianchi was granted a 4 years FNRS Research Fellowship for her proposal aiming at the development of innovative amination procedures (“General fluidic platform for the generation and use of designer’s reactive nitroso species towards pharmaceutical ingredients”). Her proposal relies on an interdisciplinary approach combining synthetic, physical organic chemistry and chemical engineering. Her work fits within the context of sustainability and contributes at providing concrete answers for current societal challenges related to the preparation of pharmaceutical active ingredients and other biologically relevant molecules.

Pauline Bianchi will receive her Master degree in Chemical Sciences at the University of Liège (Belgium) in 2020. Her Master Thesis, under the supervision of Prof. J.-C. M. Monbaliu, aimed at the development of scalable continuous flow processes for the preparation of high-value added nanoparticles. Within this context, she worked for one month as a trainee at the Corning European Technology Center (CETC) in Avon (France). She is currently completing a research internship under the supervision of Prof. C. Oliver Kappe in Graz (Austria).
