High value-added chemicals from biobased erythritol

A

joint research program between CiTOS and LCAi is now just accepted in Green Chemistry, and is featured as a 2018 Green Chemistry Hot Article. The authors relied on the assets of continuous flow manufacturing in microfluidic devices for the upgrading of biobased erythritol into high value-added organic molecules. The procedure also relies on a combination of on- and off-line analytical protocols for reaction monitoring and product quantification, and offers a biobased strategy toward important industrial building blocks otherwise petrosourced.
